Please know that we are taking precautions for Corona Virus as best as we can. The school building is being disinfected almost daily and we are canceling any events where there will be too many people.

Upcoming cancellations:

1) This Friday from the beginning of the year we were scheduled to have Parent Orientation. This is cancelled.

2) This Friday we were also going to have an event on COVID-19, Fact. Fiction, and Q&A. This is also canceled at the Al-Hidaya Masjid. Instead, this event will take place on line.

1) What measures can be taken to prevent the spread of infection in the Masjid while keeping to religious guidelines?

2) How can Masjids work together to beef up preparedness / response to the pandemic?

3) Should each Masjid create a list of elderly in the larger community, and assign people to monitor them?

4) Can Masjids help the looming crisis of international college students that are being sent home?

5) What is the communication strategy in dealing with Corona Virus, internally and with the outside world?

6) If a Corona patient has passed away, how to conduct the janazah?

Inshaa Allah we will have experts on the call (a scholar, a physician and expert on viral epidemic containment)

To ensure that you and everyone around you is safe please take the following steps:

1) Clean your hands often.

2) Avoid close contact with a sick person.

3) Stay home if you’re sick.

4) Avoid public places if you are 65 years and older, or have serious chronic medical conditions.

4) Cover coughs and sneezes.

5) Clean and disinfect frequently touched areas, daily.

Let’s not forget our children. All this media and talk, daily in our household about this virus, is causing our children a lot of stress. Please limit your discussions and screen time about this virus in front of them.

Fees Collection for 2019-20 starts tomorrow!
Fri-Mon between Dhuhr to Maghrib.

Please email finance@al-hidaya.org to get amount of fees due.

To make any changes to your original selection of days at registration, a CHANGE OF PROGRAM REQUEST FORM -available at the Masjid – must be filled in. Children have already been assigned to classes so your request may be denied.

As Salaamu ‘Alaikum–

Dear Parents,

A quick reminder :::

from Friday through Sunday from Salatul Dhuhr to ‘Asr we will be collecting fees for the FALL programs.

In addition, we are introducing a new program veered for our community youth.

We are offering a 2-year Islamic Studies program for our youth age 14 and up.
The registration process is as follows:
1) Parents and youth will fill out their respective questionnaires. See below the links.
2) Once completed, they will then come to the Masjid in person on August 23, 24, or 25th anytime between Salatul Dhur and Asar to register in person.
3) Go through an interview process.

Some information about the program:
This program is an Islamic Studies program for parents and students who are serious about committing to a 2-year Islamic studies course. This program will cover a comprehensive study of Tajweed, Fiqh of Ibadaat, Aqeedah, A’daan, Seerah, (Selected) Tafseer, Hadeeth (Basic), and Arabic grammar.

  • Start date will be October 1st

  • Interviews will be done during the first week of September. Times TBD

  • It will be for 3 hours. Fridays 5:30-8:30pm.

  • Minimum age is 14 yrs (high school)

  • Price for the program – $200 annually- not including books

  • It will be a commitment of 2-year program
